GUIDE TO OWNAGE in JC.

Guide to ownage in JC. - Slack in JC and still excel.The Pareto Principle states that 80% of our achievements comes from 20% of our efforts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle The following are the 20% you should do and the 80% you should avoid. Dont do CIP. Waste of time. US Universities dont even bother looking at it. Considers it as free labour and that you are stupid enough to listen to the government/school. In their culture, CIP is only for those who break the law and part of their rehabilitation program. Do only if you wish to apply for government scholarships and courses such as medicine or you are truly altruistic. For PW (if it still exists in 2009), dont bother doing your GPP well. Just write some crap and hand it to your teacher. Ignore wadever complaints from them. It carries no marks. Insist on keeping meetings to a maximum of 1 hr. Set agenda before meeting. For whatever work, just split the work load, do separately, then meet again to collate. Any surveys data can be faked, and they will not be able to catch you. (not that i recommend you to do that. I strongly believe in research integrity) However, write your WR very well and make sure you excel in the presentation. For maths, do all the tutorial qns. During tutorials only listen when the teacher has a faster method, or you dont know how to do the qn. Otherwise do wadever you want. (e.g sleep, sms, do other homework, read books, play GC) For chem, read the notes carefully. Esp if they state any abnormalities. Buy a good textbook and read, do read the fun facts or wadever the book calls it. It is useful esp for application qns. For phys, just buy a challenging qn book and practice. If you understand the concepts can just throw away the notes. Econs just read the essay outlines, practice case study skills. Notes almost 80% are junk and not needed in exams.(Good to know, but not useful) You can survive on just 20% content and get a very decent A. For year 1, dont bother listening to your GP teacher. Yr 1 teachers are crap and they teach crap. Listen attentively in yr 2 though. To survive yr 1, either you read VERY widely, or take GP tuition. Please dont waste your first yr or else your english standard CMI in yr 2. If you think you are extra smart, join the olympiad training programs and make sure you get selected to represent your sch. Listen very attentively, and MAKE SURE you go back and read the reference books within a 48 hrs timeframe. OR ELSE I guarantee you will be lost in the next lesson. (unless you are a freaking genius of IQ more than 160) For H3 dont be stupid and take the MOE modules. Take the local Uni ones instead. I highly recommend NTU H3 maths or SMU game theory. SMU game theory is the slackest (around 3 months only). Do the MOE and cry. Do for 1yr-1.5 yrs, get tougher paper, same credit as those local uni ones. Consider really carefully before you take up research attachments. Literally saps your time away. Including your holidays. If you think you really have the time, do put in commitment and at least get a merit award at the SSEF. Another point to note, only do quality projects from the A STAR research labs, NTU ones are just looking for cheap labour. Go there do testing for the prof, and will not qualify for SSEF first round. However the carrot is you get some money at the end of it. (not sure how much, but around 150) Join council only if you are sure you are popular and have the calibre to make it to the exco. Anything else gives you little credit, fills/saps your time, and give you insomnia and lack of sleep. Normal council member = free labour. Its a crap CCA and wadever respect/prestige bullshit the sch sells you is nothing but a fallacy. If you want to join it, please dont join for the prestige or for your CCA cert. Join it for the skills you will learn and use for a lifetime, and it will be more worthwhile. Maintain good relationships with the guard in your school and it will reap dividends for you. In case you need to sneak out of school occasionally. (e.g National day celebration, track and field day, college day etc) photos!         Yesterday's weddding dinner photos. ;D hahaha, me and meimei got so bored that we started taking photos. Gahhgahhx =x Anyways, yesterday's wedding dinner was super enertaining. Wooohoo, so cute lor. They sang ni zui zhen gui. hahaha... laughed like mad. Then they still have speech for parents. Laughs, the bride say will yang korkor until baibai pangpang. HAHAHAHA Super funnaye, xP Wedding dinner ended at like 11 lah. I ALMMOST MADE IT TO THE COUNTDOWN. WALAO eh... so sian lah. Saw fireworks on my way there then sian only. BOOS, anyways met Jovina, Jordan, zhengyang, zhangyang and chester ._. I thought Jiaqian and the rest will come lah. sighs. chit chat for awhile with JO jie heh heh heh. She's smart lah, she guessed everyth alright. =X Then send her and aunty and Jon to bus stop. :D Then the rest of the guys send me home. Jordan! Don't dee siao lor. BLEAH. DO well have year4 of cas. diedie must get GPA 3.0 (That means B3 for every subject!) TWO! DO my job well as a libero. :D (Cannot make a fool out of myself during zonals! >.<) Then as a subset after zonals! (gonna play subset again at A div) :D THREE! Do well for Os. For my art and chinese! Diedie must pass my chinese lor. FOUR! Get into NAFA once I get my Os cert. (I think that would be next year liao =x) FIVE! Love my dear a lot LOT! :D hahah, must try to make time for dear! ;D Heh heh heh, now for wishes. :D - make guo lan hua dissapear! - get a nice number for my libero jersey. - prays that the libero jersey will be really prettaye! - Smilesmile :D - If possible, make THZ dissapear too! VOLLEYBALL
I WOKE UP AT 7AM today when I was supposed to reach Tampanies at 8AM. Panicked like mad when I woke up lah. (Anyways, thanks to my dear Lian, who woke my mom up by spamming house phone who woke me up.) Chionged out lor, and I reach at like 8.15AM. Not bad already lah. haha.Went Pasir Ris Secondary school. THE SCHOOL HAVE LIKE AT LEAST SIX VOLLEYBALL COURTS LAH. SO COOL CAN. Anyways, first game we played with pasir ris and we lost lah. Damn sad, thought we might be able to win them at first one lor, or at least on par. Lost quite badly lor. Second match with Beatty, won. They haven't improved since the beach. That's what everyone says. Especially the Ruimin lah, her height's like wasted. How I wish I could have her height sia. Third game with haising catholic. OMG, WE DRAW LAH. SO COOL, dues like MAD lah. I guess we won the second game cause our morale damn high. WOOTS. Last game with PIERCE, we played a fool out of ourselves. But we still won lah. xP I think we not bad liao lor, like we didn't have all our main team there what. Siannee and Micole didn't go lor. haha. hahah, Play till like 2 plus lah, everyone super hungry lor. Ate at Century Square then went home. Haha, expecting Fenfen to come my house later. :D YAY...day SEOWRONG's playing mahjhong later. Her life's becoming so taitai like what she've said. haha, who says don't wanna be taitai one huh? Training was okay today.I really like being the libero now. [= Quite alot of slack time actually, since all I do is just receiving. Haha, we started with warm up then we did digging with partner. We did: -touch the floor -turn around -sit on the floor while digging lor. The turning around one damn fun lah, we get dizzy though =X Taaahaa ;D BLAHBLAH, JIALI LIBERO YAY. :D Then went town to meet mom and meimei. SHOPPED. WOOTS :D Bought: A denim skirt 2 white shirt/blouse sorta thing A blue halter A light grey long sleeve shirt A belt Makeup stuff. meimei: A white dress A dark gray long sleeve shirt A pink top 2 white tubes mom: 2 bags! Yesterday was uhhh, I-Don't-Know-What-To-Say!:S Started off with training with the Thai Coach! Me and seowrong was late! Thanks to seowrong again=P But the Thai coch super funny, he still ask us eat breakfast ler not. And when we said haven't he told us to go eat first?! So funny sia... Then we're like don't need don't need! taaahaaa ;D training started with -300 spikes with the wall. -Warm-up. -200 digging with the wall. -Dig with partner 200. -spike to partner [jump and never jump one] -one-step-double-step - then coach throw ball we spike blahblah The last one super fun lahh, just keep spiking and spiking! WOOts Then ohmygod, the thai coach ask seowrong and siannee to join YOG, go to their selection lah. COOOL!!! Everyone was so high after that then we had lunch at fish&co(: Then huishan went home with me, the rest went home wash up also lah. and off to HOUGANG SPORTS HALL. Super long journey sia =X Then went we reach there we're like WOAH. The girls there super huge. seowrong and siannee compared to them are only like little girls lahh. So funny ;D The the xinmion coach go tell seowrong and siannee after the warm-up that they can't come in just like that. It's against the proper procedure. Like need to tell school, blahblah first. Like walaoooo.... Come here tio scam. Then the thai coach came and said he small small here. LITTLE SAY. Damn cute only. Then I went home with fenfen while the rest went AMK hub. Then slept immediately after I reach home lah, super tired. Woke up at 11 plus today. Super pigg xP Then the thai coach text me yesterday lahh, I'm like ohh, okayyy. a dream come true
Every thing's like a dream to me now.Every little thing I wished for, it all came true, one by one. Somehow, I feel more than happiness. True enough, I'm really happy to hear all these but I was really overwhelmed. I thought of Ruixiong suddenly. Boo, I always miss him, haha. I love chatting with him ;D And what he said the last time, Every little thing is gonna be alright =D Thanks alot bro^^ Now everything's fine, I'm back to IP and yepps that's everything I wished for. Watched Madagascar2 yesterday, it wasn't as bad as what some people claimed lor. I just laughed and laughed. Yesterday was great, I miss threedeegirls ;D Go out again soon kay, I won't pangsehh you guys again liao lah. teehee; I guess we need a little more time. Life's getting better for me, I guess.
